Tomorrow (3/11) and Friday I'll be attending the Massachusetts Bar Association Annual Conference in Boston. The two day conference includes a full track of law practice management sessions. I'll be speaking during one of those sessions on Friday morning.
My topic is "Avoiding Lawyer Meltdown" (appropriately enough, given that my website is LawyerMeltdown.com). I'll be joined by Gina Walcott, Esq. of Boston's Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers and moderator Lisa Terrizzi, Esq., chair of the Massachusetts Bar Association's Lawyers in Transition Committee. Our goal is to provide lawyers with some information about burnout in the legal profession, and, more importantly, to give some strategies that they can use to cope.
My part of the program will be focused on practical tips and practice management strategies to help lawyers prevent overwhelm and make their day to day activities more manageable.
In addition to the educational sessions, I am anticipating meeting old and new friends at the conference, and will be sharing what I learn and my conference experiences with my blog readers. I'll also be tweeting, so don't forget to watch my twitter stream @allisonshields.
